This Merlot comes from grapes grown in Mendocino County, among the northernmost areas of viticulture in California. There, cool breezes from the Pacific Ocean ensure long hang-time, which contributes to the racy complexity of this wine. The grapes are fermented in stainless steel and the finished wine is matured six months prior to bottling in a blend of new and used oak resulting in a wine with finesse and structure. This wine is Right-Bank Bordeaux in nature with a Cali-fresh twist.
