La Demoiselle is part of the narrow slice of Sancerre vineyards that are planted on clay-flint. The vines tumble towards the Loire to the east of the village, separated from the rest of the appellation s limestone-based vineyards to the west of the fault line that slices through the area. The 2021 is a crisp, pure style with the flint giving a sense of direction throughout while the mid palate is suffused with a fragrance akin to elderflower, pineapple and pear.
