The 2013 Sangiovese is very aromatic with honey, lily, carnation, all spice and chocolate. The wine is medium bodied with a bright garnet color. The tastes are complex with strawberry, boysenberry, plum, Bartlett pear, cloves, and pipe tobacco. This wine is best if allowed to breathe before serving. It pairs well with red meat, BBQ and red sauces.
Sangiovese's tart cherry and moderate tannins pair well with the noodle texture.
