Wine Enthusiast Review Rated 94 A relatively soft bottling for this winery, it offers lush, broad dark plum and cherry aromas, a silky texture and light tannins well integrated with the luscious fruits and light oak spices. Wine \Tasting Notes

Once a clandestine moonshiner's outpost nestled in the misty Sonoma Coast hills, Bootlegger's Hill Vineyard was transformed by renowned winegrower Charlie Chenoweth into a premier site for high-quality Pinot Noir. Planted in 2007 just eight miles from the Pacific Ocean, the vineyard's cool climate and shallow Goldridge soils yield small-berried clusters with intense concentration. The 2021 vintage, one of the vineyard's finest, showcases a deep purple hue with a vibrant rim. Its aromatic profile layers opulent baking spices with bright candied strawberries. On the palate, the wine unfolds in textured waves, anchored by a lively thread of acidity and enriched by subtle notes of umami and bay laurel. It culminates in a powerful finish defined by firm, well-sculpted tannins—evidence of a masterfully balanced and age-worthy Pinot Noir.
