Wine Advocate Review Rated 91 Almost entirely estate grown, Rombauer's 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon does include a bit of purchased fruit from Blair (Calistoga) and Renteria 360 (Oakville). Marked by scents of cherries, cedar and dusty earth, this wine is full-bodied, supple and silky, with softly dusty tannins on the finish. Drinking Window 2024-2033. Wine
Tasting Notes
The color is intense and beautiful, almost black with purple, reddish hues. Aromas of black cherry, cassis, piecrust, spice, and mint mingle and leap from the glass. The palate is full and concentrated with similar aromas but also featuring black currant and sweet red cherry with the mild presence of oak, seamlessly integrated. Signature finely structured tannins and a balanced acidity give way to a long finish which continues to build after that last sip. 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc Alcohol 14.8%
