This flagship Cabernet opens with notes of black cherry, dried tobacco, pencil shavings, and thyme. Medium plus in weight, the core is velvety in texture and framed by powdery refined tannins. Dried sage and blood orange shine through on the finish, which has notable persistence. Driven by finesse with a hint of minerality, this expression of the Dr. Crane Vineyard site is unadulterated, unfined, and unfiltered. 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot Alcohol 14.8%
