Terra d’Oro Deaver Zinfandel Red Wine displays the classic characteristics unique to this region. This California red wine showcases enticing aromas of violet, black cherry, raspberry and a spice box of clove, anise and cracked black pepper. An elegant entry with red fruit boasts midpalate of black licorice, chewy tannins and a long floral and mineral finish. The 2019 vintage received 94 points from Wine Enthusiast in 2022. This dry red wine pairs beautifully with eggplant parmesan or grilled chicken skewers. Hand-selected grapes from the prestigious Deaver vineyards comprise Terra d’Oro Zinfandel, the winery’s flagship wine. These vineyards feature shallow topsoils, granite hardpan, hot summer days and cool summer nights, creating a remarkable home for the winemaker’s favorite varietal. Aged in French oak, resulting in subtle clove notes with indications of exotic spice. Terra d’Oro is one of Amador County’s elite producers known for critically acclaimed Zinfandels, refreshing whites and classic Italian varietals. This bottled wine has 15.5% alcohol by volume.
