The Blood and Sand cocktail originated in the early 20th century, named after the 1922 film featuring the famous bullfighter Rodolfo Valentino. It reflects the bold flavors of both its namesake and its key ingredients.
Instructions
Step 1.
- Fill a shaker with ice.
Step 2.
- Add 1 oz Scotch whisky, 1 oz sweet vermouth, 1 oz orange juice, and 1 oz Campari.
Step 3.
- Shake well until chilled.
Step 4.
- Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Step 5.
- Garnish with an orange twist.
