History
The Boston Sidecar is a variation of the classic Sidecar cocktail, thought to have originated in the early 20th century, and gained popularity in Boston's vibrant cocktail scene.
Instructions
Step 1.
- Chill a cocktail glass in the freezer or with ice water.
Step 2.
- In a shaker, add 2 ounces of brandy, 3/4 ounce of orange liqueur, and 3/4 ounce of fresh lemon juice.
Step 3.
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake well until chilled.
Step 4.
- Remove the cocktail glass from the freezer or discard the ice water.
Step 5.
- Rub the rim of the glass with a lemon slice and dip it into sugar to create a sugar rim.
Step 6.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared cocktail glass.
