Step 1.
- In a shaker, combine 2 oz of bourbon, 3/4 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 1/2 oz of simple syrup.
Step 2.
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
Step 3.
- Strain the mixture into an old fashioned glass filled with ice.
Step 4.
- Carefully float 1 oz of red wine on top by pouring it over the back of a spoon.
Step 5.
- Garnish with a lemon slice and a cherry.
