Step 1.
- Rim the edge of a chilled coupe glass with lemon juice and dip it into sugar to coat the rim.
Step 2.
- In a shaker, combine 2 oz of brandy, 1/2 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 1/4 oz of simple syrup.
Step 3.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake well until chilled.
Step 4.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared coupe glass.
Step 5.
- Garnish with a lemon twist on the rim.
