Step 1.
- Chill a coupe glass by filling it with ice water.
Step 2.
- In a shaker, combine 2 oz of cachaça, 1 oz of simple syrup, and 1 whole egg.
Step 3.
- Dry shake (without ice) vigorously for about 15 seconds to emulsify the egg.
Step 4.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake again for another 15 seconds until well chilled.
Step 5.
- Empty the ice water from the chilled coupe glass and strain the cocktail mixture into the glass.
Step 6.
- Garnish with freshly grated nutmeg on top.
