History

The Jungle Bird cocktail originated in the late 1970s at the Aviary bar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This variation with cachaça pays homage to Brazil's vibrant culture and its rich rum-like spirit.

Instructions

Step 1.
- Fill a shaker with ice.
Step 2.
- Add 2 oz of cachaça.
Step 3.
- Pour in 0.75 oz of Campari.
Step 4.
- Add 0.5 oz of fresh lime juice.
Step 5.
- Add 0.75 oz of pineapple juice.
Step 6.
- Shake well until chilled.
Step 7.
- Strain into a hurricane glass filled with ice.
Step 8.
- Garnish with a pineapple slice and a sprig of mint.
