Step 1.
- In a shaker, add 2 ounces of cachaça.
Step 2.
- Add 1 ounce of fresh lime juice and 1 ounce of simple syrup.
Step 3.
- Include a handful of fresh mint leaves.
Step 4.
- Muddle the mint gently to release its oils, but do not tear the leaves too much.
Step 5.
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake well until chilled.
Step 6.
- Double strain into an Old Fashioned glass filled with crushed ice.
Step 7.
- Garnish with a sprig of mint and a lime wedge.
