History

Sangria originated in Spain, traditionally made with red wine but has evolved to include various wines and fruits for a refreshing summer drink. The addition of Cava, a sparkling wine, brings effervescence to this delightful twist.

Instructions

Step 1.
- In a large pitcher, combine the sliced oranges, lemons, and limes.
Step 2.
- Add the diced apple and berries into the pitcher with the fruit.
Step 3.
- Pour in the Cava, orange juice, and brandy, stirring gently to combine all ingredients.
Step 4.
- Taste and adjust sweetness with sugar if desired, mixing until dissolved.
Step 5.
- Let the sangria sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
Step 6.
- Serve over ice in wine glasses, garnished with additional fruit slices and mint.

750 ml Cava — chilled
150 ml Orange juice — freshly squeezed
50 ml Brandy (optional)
1 whole Orange — sliced
1 whole Lemon — sliced
1 whole Apple — diced
100 g Berries (strawberries, blueberries) — washed
1 tablespoon Sugar (optional)
5 leaves Mint leaves (garnish)
