Cognac Sazerac
A classic cocktail that combines the depth of cognac with the herbal notes of bitters and a touch of absinthe, offering a refined twist on the traditional Sazerac.
Instructions
- Rinse an Old Fashioned glass with absinthe and discard the excess.
- In another glass, muddle a sugar cube with a few dashes of Peychaud’s bitters until dissolved.
- Add ice to the glass and pour in the cognac.
- Stir well to chill and combine the ingredients.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glass.
- Express the oils from a lemon twist over the drink and drop it in as a garnish.
