History
The Tequila Sunrise has been a popular cocktail since the 1970s, known for its vibrant colors and simple ingredients. The addition of elderflower liqueur adds a contemporary floral twist, offering a new dimension to this classic drink.
Instructions
Step 1.
- Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
Step 2.
- Pour 2 ounces of tequila over the ice.
Step 3.
- Add 1 ounce of elderflower liqueur.
Step 4.
- Slowly pour 4 ounces of freshly squeezed orange juice over the back of a spoon into the glass to create a layered effect.
Step 5.
- Gently stir to combine the layers if desired, or leave as is for presentation.
Step 6.
- Garnish with a lime wheel and an elderflower sprig.
