History
The Flaming Dr. Pepper originated in the 1980s in bars across the United States and was popularized by its unique presentation and the bold choice of ingredients.
Instructions
Step 1.
- Fill a pint glass halfway with lager beer.
Step 2.
- In a shot glass, pour 1 ounce of amaretto.
Step 3.
- Float 1/2 ounce of high-proof rum on top of the amaretto by pouring it slowly over the back of a spoon.
Step 4.
- Carefully light the rum on fire with a long lighter.
Step 5.
- Drop the flaming shot glass into the pint glass of beer and drink immediately.

4 ounces Lager Beer — chilled
1 ounce Amaretto — layered in a shot glass
1 ounce High-proof rum — layered on top of amaretto
