Step 1.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

- Add 1.5 oz of vodka, 0.5 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 0.5 oz of simple syrup to the shaker.

- Shake well for about 15 seconds.

- Strain the mixture into a chilled champagne flute.

- Top with 2 oz of chilled champagne or sparkling wine.
Step 6.
- Garnish with a lemon twist. Serve immediately.
