The Gin Fizz originated in the late 19th century, typically made with gin, lemon juice, sugar, and soda water. The addition of elderflower liqueur adds a modern floral note that complements the original recipe.
Instructions
Step 1.
- Fill a shaker with ice.
Step 2.
- Add 2 oz of gin, 1 oz of elderflower liqueur, 1 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 1/2 oz of simple syrup to the shaker.
Step 3.
- Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
Step 4.
