- Prepare your smoking device with wood chips, such as cherry or applewood.
- In a mixing glass, combine gin and dry vermouth with ice.
- Stir well until the mixture is chilled.
- Using a fine mesh strainer, strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass.
- Using the smoking device, introduce smoke into the glass for a few seconds to infuse the cocktail.
- Garnish with an olive or a lemon twist before serving.
