Step 1.
- Muddle fresh basil leaves in a shaker with the simple syrup to release the oils.
Step 2.
- Add Jägermeister, lemon juice, and ice to the shaker.
Step 3.
- Shake well until chilled.
Step 4.
- Strain into an old fashioned glass filled with ice.
Step 5.
- Garnish with a fresh basil sprig.
