History
The Layered Sunset Cocktail is inspired by the vibrant hues of a sunset and aims to capture this beauty in a glass. It emerged as a popular choice in beach bars during the summer, where aesthetic presentation is as important as taste.
Instructions
Step 1.
- Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
Step 2.
- Pour in the orange juice carefully to fill about two-thirds of the glass.
Step 3.
- Slowly pour the vodka over the back of a spoon to create a layer on top of the orange juice.
Step 4.
- Using the same technique, pour the grenadine slowly down the side of the glass so it sinks to the bottom, creating a layered effect.
Step 5.
- Garnish with a slice of orange and a maraschino cherry.
Step 6.
- Serve immediately with a straw.

3 oz Orange juice
0.5 oz Grenadine
0 Ice cubes
1 Slice of Orange (garnish)
1 Maraschino cherry (garnish)
