History

The Jungle Bird was originally created in the 1970s at the Aviary Bar in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Mezcal variation adds a unique smokiness that enhances the tropical elements, making it a modern favorite.

Instructions

Step 1.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
Step 2.
- Add 2 oz of mezcal, 3/4 oz of Campari, 1 oz of pineapple juice, and 1/2 oz of fresh lime juice to the shaker.
Step 3.
- Shake well for 15 seconds to chill and combine the ingredients.
Step 4.
- Strain the mixture into a tiki mug filled with crushed ice.
Step 5.
- Garnish with a pineapple leaf and a cherry on top.
