Mount Vernon
A rich and warming cocktail that combines the smoothness of whiskey with the subtle sweetness of liqueurs, perfect for sipping on a cool evening.
Instructions
- Fill a mixing glass with ice.
- Add 2 ounces of rye whiskey.
- Add 1/2 ounce of sweet vermouth.
- Add 1/4 ounce of orange liqueur.
- Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.
- Stir well until chilled.
- Strain into an Old Fashioned glass filled with ice.
- Garnish with an orange twist.
- Add 2 ounces of rye whiskey.
- Add 1/2 ounce of sweet vermouth.
- Add 1/4 ounce of orange liqueur.
- Add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.
- Stir well until chilled.
