The Pegu Club cocktail originated in Burma and became popular in the early 20th century among British expatriates. It was named after the Pegu Club in Rangoon, a social hub for Englishmen.

Instructions

Step 1.
- Chill a coupe glass by filling it with ice water.
Step 2.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz gin, 3/4 oz orange curaçao, 1/2 oz fresh lime juice, and 2 dashes Angostura bitters.
Step 3.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake well until chilled.
Step 4.
- Empty the chilled coupe glass of ice water.
Step 5.
- Strain the mixture into the glass.
Step 6.
- Garnish with a lime twist.
