The Rum Island Gold cocktail emerged in the 1970s, inspired by the vibrant tiki culture that swept through coastal bars, combining exotic fruits with the smoothness of rum.
Instructions
Step 1.
- Fill a shaker with ice.
Step 2.
- Add the rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, and grenadine to the shaker.
Step 3.
- Shake well until mixed and chilled.
Step 4.
- Strain into a hurricane glass filled with ice.
Step 5.
- Garnish with a pineapple wedge and a maraschino cherry.
