Step 1.
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

- Add 2 ounces of Scotch whisky, 1 ounce of sweet vermouth, and 0.5 ounces of fresh lemon juice to the shaker.

- Shake well until chilled.

- Strain the mixture into a highball glass filled with ice.

- Top with soda water to taste.
