Step 1.
- Muddle fresh mint leaves with sugar and a splash of water in the bottom of a julep cup to release the mint oils.
Step 2.
- Fill the cup with crushed ice, packing it tightly.
Step 3.
- Pour in the Scotch whisky, allowing it to mix with the muddled mint and sugar.
Step 4.
- Top off with more crushed ice to form a dome above the cup.
Step 5.
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint, ensuring it's spanked to release its aroma.
