Scotch Islay Old Fashioned
A smoky twist on the classic Old Fashioned, highlighting the rich flavors of Islay Scotch whiskey with the perfect balance of sweetness and bitters.
Instructions
- Place a sugar cube in a rocks glass.
- Add a few dashes of Angostura bitters to the sugar cube.
- Muddle the sugar and bitters together until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add a large ice cube to the glass.
- Pour 2 oz of Islay Scotch over the ice.
- Stir gently to chill and combine the flavors.
- Express the oils of an orange twist over the drink and drop it in as garnish.
