History

The Singapore Sling originated in the early 20th century in Singapore, created at the Raffles Hotel by bartender Ngiam Tong Boon. It was designed as a refreshing drink for women to enjoy without the stigma of having alcohol, showcasing a delightful mix of flavors.

Instructions

Step 1.
- Fill a shaker with ice.
Step 2.
- Add gin, cherry brandy, Cointreau, Benedictine, grenadine, pineapple juice, and lime juice.
Step 3.
- Shake well until chilled.
Step 4.
- Strain into a highball glass filled with ice.
Step 5.
- Top with soda water.
Step 6.
- Garnish with a slice of pineapple and a cherry.
