The Bee's Knees cocktail dates back to the Prohibition era, when creative bartenders used honey to mask the taste of poorly distilled spirits. The Soju Bee’s Knees modernizes this classic by incorporating Soju, a popular Korean spirit, adding a unique twist to the traditional recipe.
Instructions
Step 1.
- In a shaker, combine 2 oz of Soju, 3/4 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 1/2 oz of honey syrup.
Step 2.
- If using granulated honey, mix 1 part honey with 1 part hot water to create the syrup.
Step 3.
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake well until chilled.
Step 4.
- Strain the mixture into a chilled coupe glass.
Step 5.
- Garnish with a lemon twist.
