History

Sangria has its roots in Spain, traditionally made with red wine and fresh fruit. The spiced variation emerged as a winter favorite, adding a warming element with spices like cinnamon and cloves.

Instructions

Step 1.
- In a large pitcher, combine red wine, orange juice, brandy, cinnamon sticks, and cloves.
Step 2.
- Add sliced oranges, apples, and a handful of berries to the mixture.
Step 3.
- Stir well and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
Step 4.
- Before serving, add a splash of soda water for some fizz and stir gently.
Step 5.
- Serve over ice in wine glasses, garnished with a cinnamon stick and an orange slice.

100 g Berries — any mix, optional (optional)
200 ml Soda Water — to taste (optional)
1 piece Cinnamon stick — for garnish (garnish)
