The Tequila Julep is a modern adaptation of the classic Southern mint julep, combining the refreshing taste of tequila with fresh mint to create a vibrant cocktail enjoyed in warmer climates.
Instructions
Step 1.
- Muddle the mint leaves gently in the bottom of a julep cup for about 15 seconds to release their oils.
Step 2.
- Add the tequila and simple syrup to the cup, filling it with crushed ice.
Step 3.
- Stir gently to combine the ingredients.
Step 4.
- Top off with more crushed ice to create a mound on top.
Step 5.
- Garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.
