History
The Tequila Sunrise is said to have been created in the 1930s in California, with its roots in a blend of tequila and orange juice, evolving into its modern form with the addition of grenadine in the 1970s.
Instructions
Step 1.
- Fill a highball glass with ice cubes.
Step 2.
- Pour the tequila over the ice.
Step 3.
- Add the orange juice and stir gently to combine.
Step 4.
- Slowly pour the grenadine down the side of the glass, allowing it to settle at the bottom.
Step 5.
- Garnish with an orange slice and a cherry on top.
