History
The White Russian emerged as a popular cocktail in the 1960s but is thought to have originated from the Black Russian, which dates back to the late 1940s. The addition of cream transformed it into the beloved drink we know today.
Instructions
Step 1.
- In a shaker, combine 1 ounce of vodka and 1 ounce of coffee liqueur with ice.
Step 2.
- Shake well until chilled.
Step 3.
- Strain the mixture into a shot glass.
Step 4.
- Float 1 ounce of heavy cream on top by pouring it gently over the back of a spoon.
