Step 1.
- Chill a coupe glass by placing it in the freezer or filling it with ice water.

- In a shaker, combine 1.5 oz bourbon, 0.75 oz fresh grapefruit juice, 0.5 oz honey syrup, and 0.25 oz absinthe.
Step 3.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
Step 4.
- Strain the mixture into the chilled coupe glass.
Step 5.
- Express the oils from a twist of grapefruit peel over the drink and discard or drop it in as garnish.
