Step 1.
- Chill a coupe glass by filling it with ice water.
Step 2.
- In a shaker, combine 1.5 oz of absinthe and 0.5 oz of crème de cassis.
Step 3.
- Add 0.75 oz of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 1 oz of simple syrup.
Step 4.
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
Step 5.
- Empty the ice water from the coupe glass and double strain the mixture into the glass.
Step 6.
- Top with 2 oz of chilled sparkling wine.
Step 7.
- Garnish with an edible flower or fresh mint leaves.
