Step 1.
- In a saucepan, combine red wine, absinthe, cinnamon sticks, and star anise.
Step 2.
- Add honey and orange slices, stirring well to combine.
Step 3.
- Heat over low flame until just simmering, about 5-10 minutes; do not boil.
Step 4.
- Remove from heat and strain into mugs.
Step 5.
- Garnish with an additional cinnamon stick and a star anise.
