Step 1.
- Chill a coupe glass by filling it with ice water.
Step 2.
- In a mixing glass, combine 2 oz rye whiskey, 1/2 oz sweet vermouth, and 1/4 oz absinthe.
Step 3.
- Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir well until chilled.
Step 4.
- Empty the ice water from the coupe glass and strain the cocktail mixture into the glass.
Step 5.
- Express the oils from a lemon twist over the drink and drop it in as garnish.
