Step 1.
- Chill a coupe glass by filling it with ice water and setting it aside.
Step 2.
- In a mixing glass, add 2 oz of rye whiskey.
Step 3.
- Add 1 oz of sweet vermouth.
Step 4.
- Pour in 1/4 oz of absinthe.
Step 5.
- Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir the mixture until well chilled.
Step 6.
- Empty the ice water from the coupe glass.
Step 7.
- Strain the chilled mixture into the prepared coupe glass.
Step 8.
- Garnish with a Luxardo cherry.
