Step 1.
- Rim a coupe glass with absinthe and discard the excess.
Step 2.
- In a shaker, combine 2 oz rye whiskey, 1 oz fresh lemon juice, 3/4 oz simple syrup, and a dash of orange bitters.
Step 3.
- Add ice and shake until well chilled.
Step 4.
- Strain into the prepared coupe glass.
Step 5.
- Garnish with a twist of lemon.
