Step 1.
- Chill a coupe glass by placing it in the freezer or filling it with ice water.

- In a shaker, combine 2 ounces of Armagnac, 1 ounce of sweet vermouth, and 0.5 ounces of fresh lemon juice.
Step 3.
- Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
Step 4.
- Strain the mixture into the chilled coupe glass.
Step 5.
- Twist a piece of orange peel over the drink to release its oils, then drop it in as a garnish.
