Step 1.
- Chill a coupe glass by filling it with ice water and setting it aside.
Step 2.
- In a mixing glass, combine 2 oz of Armagnac, 1 oz of sweet vermouth, and 2 dashes of Angostura bitters.
Step 3.
- Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir well for about 30 seconds until well chilled.
Step 4.
- Empty the chilled coupe glass of ice water and strain the mixture into the glass.
Step 5.
- Garnish with an orange twist by expressing the oils over the drink and placing it on the rim.
