Step 1.
- Rim the edge of a chilled coupe glass with lemon juice and dip it into sugar to coat the rim.

- In a shaker, combine 2 ounces of brandy, 1/2 ounce of fresh lemon juice, 1/4 ounce of simple syrup, and 2 dashes of orange bitters.

- Fill the shaker with ice and shake well until chilled.

- Strain the mixture into the prepared coupe glass.

- Garnish with a twist of lemon peel.
