History

The Mojito has its roots in 16th century Cuba, originally made with a primitive version of rum, sugar, lime, and mint. It has evolved into a popular classic cocktail known for its vibrant flavors and refreshing qualities.

Instructions

Step 1.
- Muddle the mint leaves and sugar together in the bottom of a highball glass to release the mint oils.
Step 2.
- Add fresh lime juice and stir to combine.
Step 3.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes.
Step 4.
- Pour in the white rum over the ice.
Step 5.
- Top with soda water and stir gently to mix.
Step 6.
- Garnish with a sprig of mint and a wedge of lime.
