Corpse Reviver (No. 1) 1871
A classic cocktail that serves as a restorative, combining the rich flavors of brandy with the lightness of sweet vermouth and a touch of apple brandy.
Instructions
- Chill a coupe glass by filling it with ice water.
- In a shaker, combine 1.5 oz of brandy, 1 oz of sweet vermouth, and 0.5 oz of apple brandy.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
- Discard the ice water from the chilled glass.
- Strain the mixture into the chilled coupe glass.
- Garnish with a lemon twist. Serve immediately.
