History

The Forest Floor cocktail emerged from a desire to encapsulate the essence of nature in a drink. Inspired by the flavors and aromas of the woods, it became popular in cocktail bars seeking to create a connection between urban life and the great outdoors.

Instructions

Step 1.
- Chill a coupe glass by placing it in the freezer or filling it with ice water.
Step 2.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine 2 oz of gin, 0.75 oz of elderflower liqueur, 0.5 oz of fresh lemon juice, and 1 oz of muddled fresh blackberries.
Step 3.
- Add ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.
Step 4.
- Strain the mixture into the chilled coupe glass.
Step 5.
- Top with a splash of soda water for a light fizz.
Step 6.
- Garnish with a fresh rosemary sprig and a mint leaf.
