History

The Hanky Panky is said to have been created in the early 20th century by Ada Coleman at the Savoy Hotel in London. It gained popularity for its unique blend of flavors that appealed to the tastes of that era.

Instructions

Step 1.
- Chill a coupe glass by filling it with ice water.
Step 2.
- In a mixing glass filled with ice, combine 1.5 ounces of gin and 1.5 ounces of sweet vermouth.
Step 3.
- Add a few drops of Fernet-Branca to the mixture (about 0.25 ounces).
Step 4.
- Stir well for about 30 seconds until the mixture is well chilled.
Step 5.
- Empty the ice water from the coupe glass and strain the mixture into it.
Step 6.
- Garnish with an orange twist, expressing the oils over the drink.

1 piece Orange peel — twist (garnish)
