Step 1.
- Fill a shaker with ice.

- Add 2 oz of amaretto to the shaker.
Step 3.
- Squeeze in the juice of half a lemon (about 1 oz).
Step 4.
- Add 0.5 oz of simple syrup to balance the flavors.
Step 5.
- Shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until well chilled.
Step 6.
- Strain into a chilled coupe glass.
Step 7.
- Garnish with almond slivers and a twist of lemon peel.
